Stephen and Rhonda Lambert, Portland, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Melissa, to Shannon Garringer. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jerry and Thelma Garringer, Geneva, and the late Maxine Garringer.
Melissa is a 1997 graduate of Jay County High School. She graduated in 2001 from Indiana University with a bachelor of general studies degree and then in 2006 earned a bachelor of science degree in education. She is employed at Wal-Mart in Portland and is a substitute teacher.
Her fiancé is a 1985 graduate of Jay County High School and is employed at Teal Automotive in Dunkirk.
