Democrats say thanks

To the editor:
Well, to some of us it may come as happy news and to others it may come as sad, but the 2014 Jay County Fair is over.
And what a fair it was.
Congratulations to the Jay County Fair Board for another outstanding event. Whether you came for the 4-H exhibits and animals, went to the horse or auto races, enjoyed the hogs and mud, visited the merchants and local clubs and organizations booths, rode the rides, listened to the bands and singers or just came for the food, there was something for everyone.
The Jay County Democrats served our annual pie, cake and ice cream on Thursday. Thank you to all who donated money, pies and cakes, visited with us, enjoying that favorite slice of pie and those who helped in any way in making this day and the entire fair week a successful event. Special thanks to Randy Mann, Jay County Commissioner candidate, Susan Bunch, Jay County Auditor candidate, and Ted Champ of Jay County Council for all the extra time each spent helping me man the Jay County Democrat tent and passing out those popsicles.
Thanks again to all who had a helping hand in making the 2014 Jay County Fair a success.
