Don't take their benefits (9/26/05)

I read in the Muncie paper that we have a congressman who wants to take more money from our Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

This would mean that my wife and I would be paying $40 a month. That sure is a lot of money.

These politicians should not be able to take our money whenever they see fit. I worked 50 years of my life to get what little we get.

It sounds to me that there will be more money than needed. I hope that everything given is given to the people in need and not going to the wrong hands. I believe that almost every organization in this good land of American (is involved in relief efforts).

So I hope that the big shots don’t get away with this. There are too many people who need all they get and more. We donate as much as we can when we can.

Just last January, our government took $20 from our Medicaid. Are they going to do this as they please?

So next time we vote, we better look closer who we vote for.
