Eagle Scout says thanks

Editor's Mailbag

By To the editor:-

I recently received my Eagle Scout rank in Troop 202. I have many people I wish to thank.

First, I need to thank my family for all of their support during my scouting career. Next, I want to thank my troop leaders. Currently they are Rick Imel and Doug Blankenbaker. I would also like to include past leaders, Dale Widman, Dick Knoth, Carl McDowell, and Bob Sours.

In order to reach the Eagle Scout rank in scouting you must earn a minimum of 22 merit badges, and without the guidance of good leaders this task would be impossible.

I also owe a big thank you to Ken Schwieterman at Portland True Value not only for donating supplies, but also for taking the time to help me make the best choices for my project work day. Also, thank you to Lo Bill Food for the gift certificate so I could feed my troop on project day.

Another thank you goes to my troop for all the hard work on the project work day. Thanks guys.

In closing I need to thank all of my faithful popcorn customers I have had over the years. I have appreciated your orders and hope you continue to support local scouting.

Respectfully,

Patrick R. Cavanaugh
