Football team moms say thanks for help this season (10/12/06)

Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

The mothers of the Jay County football team would like to thank the following people and businesses for helping out with the meals during the all day practices this past summer and the continuing help during this year's successful season.

We'd like to thank Wal-Mart, LoBill, Bluffton Pak-A-Sak, Fisher Meat Packing, Tyson Mexican Original of Portland, Delta Theta Tau Sorority, Bearcreek Farms, and Domino's Pizza for donations or discounts that helped us feed over 90 hungry football boys and staff.

Many mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmothers helped us out continually during the two week period of meals for the boys.

You could see the looks on those tired faces change when they entered the room and saw the food and drinks waiting for them after a long morning of practice, as well as popsicles after those hot afternoon practices.

Thank you to Jay County High School personnel who let us use the great room and kitchen to prepare and feed the boys during a hectic construction time.

We continue to thank all the parents who bring food and drinks to feed the boys on Thursday evenings before games, and those who provide their time and food on Fridays for the football tailgate parties. Thank you to the dads who provide breakfast on Saturday mornings.

Once again those faces say it all.

Thank you parents for all of your hard work and sacrifice to let your boys play football.

Jay County football is enjoying a successful season and we look forward to continuing the pride that is shown every day!

Go Patriots!

Sincerely,

Lisa Michael, and the mothers of the Jay County High School football team[[In-content Ad]]
