Former teacher charged

A former Jay County High School teacher has been released from Jay County Jail on $10,000 bond after being charged with four counts of child seduction.
Lucas J. Tetrault, 29, Albany, turned himself in to Jay County police about 2 p.m. Friday.

Tetrault resigned his position as a graphic arts teacher at JCHS Thursday amid allegations of sexual contact with a student. He was in his second year as a teacher in Jay County.
School authorities notified Jay County police of allegations of “inappropriate behavior” by a teacher Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday morning Tetrault had resigned.
Child seduction is a Class D felony. Tetrault is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old female.[[In-content Ad]]
