FORT RECOVERY - The Indians got back to their non-conference dominance Saturday night.
After falling Friday to Midwest Athletic Conference rival St. John's the Fort Recovery High School boys basketball team bounds back with a 62-48 victory Saturday over the Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks.
The win pushed the Tribe's record to 9-0 against non-conference opponents in Ohio. The team is 12-6 overall, with a 3-5 mark in the MAC and its only non-conference loss coming against Jay County.
The Indians and Mississinawa Valley played to a tie in the opening period and the visitors grabbed a brief lead when William Cook scored the first points of the second period.

The Blackhawks' advantage, however, did not last very long.
Just 45 seconds after Cook's hoop, Toby Metzger buried a 3-pointer that gave Fort Recovery the lead for good. The triple kicked off a 14-2 run for the Tribe, which included six points from Greg Kahlig and was capped by another 3-pointer from Metzger.
The Indians outscored Mississinawa Valley 24-9 in the second quarter and pushed the advantage to as many as 21 points in the third.
Kahlig, a junior, racked up 21 points in the victory. Cody Fiely shot 4-of-6 from the field and hit three 3-pointers for 13 points.
Craig Tobe grabbed nine rebounds, Frank Thien had eight assists and seven boards, and Metzger dished out five assists.
Colten Cox buried five 3-pointers and scored 19 points for the Blackhawks, who slipped to 9-11 on the year.
Alex Murphy added eight points and four rebounds.
Junior varsity
Three Indians scored in double figures to lead a 51-39 victory over Mississinawa Valley.
Shane Brunswick led the effort with 14 points as he buried four 3-pointers. Michael Gaerke had 12 points and team highs of 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals. Jared Kahlig chipped in 11 points and five rebounds.
Cody Evans led the Blackhawks with 15 points and eight rebounds. Nick McEowen followed with eight points.
