Fort knocks off Blue Jays (09/26/2008)

DELPHOS, Ohio - After opening 0-4, the Indians now have back-to-back league wins.
Fort Recovery High School's volleyball team picked up its second win in the Midwest Athletic Conference, defeating the host St. John's Blue Jays 26-24, 21-25, 25-18, 25-23.
Nicole Pottkotter totaled 19 assists and 11 kills for the Indians, who defeated New Knoxville last week. They are now 7-7 overall and 2-4 in the MAC.
Kinsey Wenning racked up 17 kills against the Blue Jays (6-6, 1-5 MAC), and Joanna Snyder and Anne Koesters each had 12. Snyder added seven points, and Koesters recorded three blocks.
Emily May paced the defense with 14 digs.
Junior varsity
Carly Staugler totaled 27 assists, 10 points, three kills and a block as the Indians fell 25-21, 11-25, 25-20 to St. John's.
Olivia Thien blasted 15 kills, Sarah Knapke came up with 12 digs and Shelby Brunswick had 10 points. Nichole Kaiser had seven digs, and Lorraine Shier finished with six kills.
