Fort Middle School students make honor roll

Fort Recovery Middle School named its honor roll students for the third nine weeks.

Making the all A honor roll in sixth grade were Michaela Fullenkamp, Christy Garke, Katherine Homan, Jennifer Klenke, Haley Knapke, Melissa Knapke, Nathan Lochtefeld, Rachel Pugh, Lauren Rammel, Emilie Sheridan and Cole Wendel.

Making the A-B honor roll in sixth grade were Olivia Acheson, Derek Backs, Zachary Bergman, Leah Bihn, Danielle Brunswick, Shawna Dugger, Karla Eichenauer, Monica Fullenkamp, Tristan Fullenkamp, Cassandra Gray, Makayla Grover, Abigail Grube, Jamieson Hess, Samuel Huelskamp, Grant Hull, Bradley Jutte, Hannah Jutte, Karalee Jutte, Samantha Kaiser, Anthony Keller, Eli Koester and Debra Link.

Seventh graders making the A-B honor roll were Hannah Bihn, Rebecca Brockman, Morgan Dues, Trent Dues, Samantha Florence, Joseph Gonzalez, Cody Grube, Holden Heitkamp, Mitchell Homan, Elijah Kahlig, Hannah Kaup, Isaac Keller, Cedric Lamons, Mitchell Lennartz and Kinsey McEldowney.

Authors

Students from East Jay Middle School have been selected to have their works published in Creative Communication Spring 2009. The students are from Deborah Kilander's eighth grade class and Connie Williams seventh grade class.

Eight grade students are Jennifer Braun, Andrea Bruggeman, Samantha Compton, Samantha Homan, Avery Loyd, Anna Muhlenkamp, Ravi Patel, Katie Snyder, Abbey Vance and Mikayla Wellman.

Seventh grade students are Deanna Brenner, Brayden Dues, Cheyanne Dull, Collin Saxman and Austin Wendel.

Universal design

Kristi Henry from Purdue Extension Service will conduct the program Universal Design on Thursday, April 9, at 2 p.m. at Jay County Public Library.

The program will give ideas on how to make a home wheelchair accessible.

There is no cost for the program but reservations need to be made by April 8. Reservations can be made by calling the Extension Office at (260) 726-4707.

The program is sponsored by the Jay County Purdue Cooperative Extension Service and Jay County Extension Homemakers.



Dean's list

Candice M. Gehret and Clayton Eley were recently named to the dean's list.

Gehret was honored at Ohio Northern University for the winter quarter of 2008-09. She is a sixth year pharmacy major. Her parents are Patrick and Virginia Gehret, Fort Recovery.

Eley, Portland, earned the honor at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute for the winter quarter of 2008-09. He is a freshman studying mechanical engineering. His parents are Paula Miller and Todd Eley.[[In-content Ad]]
