Fort Recovery falls to the Flyers (04/30/08)

MARIA STEIN, Ohio - The Marion Local Flyers held Fort Recovery High School's softball team to just two hits Tuesday evening as they defeated the Indians 5-0.
It was the second straight shutout loss for the Indians, who have managed just five runs over the course of their last five games.
They are 4-11 overall, and 0-4 in the Midwest Athletic Conference.
Kinsey Wenning took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits in four innings. She struck out four batters.
Beth May gave up one run on three hits in two innings of relief.
Ashley Grube and Carla Guggenbiller each had one hit for the Tribe.
Junior varsity
FORT RECOVERY - The Indians pulled even with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning only to give up the game-winner in the top of the seventh in a 5-4 loss to Marion Local.
Andi Sutter suffered the loss as the Flyers tagged her for five runs - two earned - on 11 hits and five walks. She struck out five batters.
Josie Guggenbiller paced Fort Recovery, which never led in the game, with a triple and a run. Olivia Thien drove in two runs, and Shelby Brunswick and Kendra Brunswick each singled and scored once.[[In-content Ad]]
