Fort strolls past Fairlawn

SIDNEY, Ohio - The Fort Recovery High School softball team racked up 16 hits. And that was the least of the Jets' problems.
The Indians also walked 19 times Friday in a 25-6, five-inning slaughter of host Fairlawn.
Kinsey Wenning singled four times, scored six runs and had two RBIs to lead the offensive effort for the Tribe (5-3), which posted 11 runs in the second inning. Kendra Brunswick added three hits and four RBIs.
Joanna Snyder and Amy Hart led the walk parade with four apiece. Snyder also doubled and scored five times, and Shelby Brunswick drove in five runs.
Sutter picked up the win, allowing just one unearned run on two hits in four innings. She struck out five batters.
Junior varsity
FORT RECOVERY - The Coldwater Cavaliers scored six times in the top of the seventh inning to break open Friday's game on the way to an 11-4 victory over the Indians.
Beca Tobe took the loss, giving up 11 runs - six earned- on 14 hits and seven walks. The Indians are winless in five tries this year.
Lorraine Shier went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Taylor Guggenbiller drove in two hits, and Sierra Loya had a pair of singles.[[In-content Ad]]
