FORT RECOVERY - The football seasons for the Fort Recovery Middle School teams came to an end Thursday with both squads finishing at 1-6.
The Indian eighth graders finished off their year by holding on for a 14-12 victory over the Coldwater Cavaliers. The seventh graders lost 28-0.
Aaron Vagedes put Fort Recovery on the board first in the eighth grade game as he returned an interception 80 yards for a first-quarter touchdown. Vagedes also caught a 65-yard TD pass from Kenny Wenning in the second quarter, and Wenning ran in for the two-point conversion.
Coldwater scored all of its 12 points in the third quarter, but missed on its point-after-touchdown tries and fell short of the comeback.
