FR golfers get first win

CELINA, Ohio — Lincolnview’s No. 1 player turned in the top individual score. But the Indians walked away with the victory.
Fort Recovery High School’s boys golf team picked up its first win of the season Wednesday, defeating the Lancers 190-209 at Mercer County Elks Golf Club.
Jared Kahlig opened his round with back-to-back birdies as he played the first three holes at 2-under-par. He was 1-over-par through six holes on the way to shooting a 43.
Taylor Hoehn of Lincolnview was the medalist with a 41, but no other Lancer shot better than 55.
Derek Rammel parred the fifth and sixth holes for the Indians on the way to a 45, and Hayden Pottkotter finished his round with a par for a 48. Gage Retz, Shawn Roessner and Elijah Kahlig all finished at 54.[[In-content Ad]]
