FR prom thanks (5/22/03)

The Fort Recovery After-Prom Committee reports another successful after-prom and wishes to thank the organizations, parents and individuals who helped in any way to ensure a safe and fun night for the teens.

Thanks go to the following organizations which contributed: F.O.R.T., Fort Recovery Historical Society, Fort Recovery lodge, Fort Recovery VFW, Fort Recovery VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Ohio Progressive Sportsmen Club, Fort Recovery Athletic Boosters, Harvest Jubilee, Fort Recovery Community Improvements, American Legion, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Mary Help of Christians Church, St. Mary’s Altar Sodality, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Joseph Church, Fort Recovery Gun Club, Knights of Columbus, Daughters of Isabella, Junior Class, Chamber of Commerce, Fort Recovery Lions Club, and Lamm’s Insurance.

The after-prom committee would also like to thank the following businesses who generously donated merchant coupons. In Fort Recovery: Shell, Big Al’s, Tin Cupboard, Video Shack and Miller’s Dairy Drive-In.

In Portland: Pizza Hut, Ritz Theatre, McDonald’s and Burger King. The committee also expresses gratitude for being chosen to receive the AAA after-prom grant.

Also, thanks to Cliff Wendel and Don Wendel for the use of Miracle Lanes bowling alley and to Kim Braun and Lisa Timmerman for their help with food preparation. Thanks to Chester and Bubba Staugler for the karaoke.

The teens enjoyed the bowling, games, karaoke, pizza, breadsticks and pop.
