Gaerke's Flyers win tourney

A Fort Recovery High School graduate has helped the 20th-ranked volleyball team in the country open with a 3-0 start.
Tiff Gaerke, a 2007 FRHS graduate, played Saturday for the University of Dayton as it swept Virginia Commonwealth to earn the championship in the Dayton Flyer Classic.
The team also beat Pittsburgh and Arizona State in the tournament.
Gaerke recorded one kill and one block for the Flyers against VCU.
Dayton plays in the Diet Coke Classic hosted by Minnesota beginning Friday.

South Adams - 2009
Was part of a shooting barrage for the Bluffton University women’s soccer team, although the Beavers went on to lose their season opener 1-0 to Rochester.
Moore took two shots, including one on goal, as Bluffton attacked the Rochester net. The Beavers had 16 shots in all, eight of which were on goal, but didn’t connect on any.
Rochester got the winning score on an own goal with just seven minutes left in the game.[[In-content Ad]]
