Garton to speak at GOP event (04/01/06)
Bob Garton, the president pro tempore of the Indiana Senate, will be the speaker at the 2006 Jay County Lincoln Day banquet.
The banquet will be held Thursday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at East Jay Middle School.
Tickets, which are $20 for one or two for $35, are available from Republican office holders in Jay County, members of the county Republican Central Committee or by calling (260) 726-9503.
Garton, a resident of Columbus and the highest-ranking Republican in the Indiana Senate, has served in the Senate since 1970.
