Get out and vote (8/19/03)
Editor's Mailbag
By To the editor:-
If you are not registered to vote in the November elections, for the love of America, get registered now. Many men and women have fought and died to give you this freedom we Americans enjoy.
If you do not take the time and effort to vote, you do not have the right to complain about the political situation, be it local, state or federal.
If you do not vote for the candidate of your choice, his opponent gets your vote whether you like it or not. Your lack of a vote for your candidate actually gives his opponent two votes.
When choosing a candidate, remember who originally appointed most of the present officials.
Isn’t it time for a change?
