Great job on Fourth

Editor's Mailbag

By To the editor:-

The 25th annual Jay County Fourth of July Celebration went off with a bang. There were two main events that were added to this year’s festivities: The BMX bicycle stunt team, “Perfection on Wheels,” and some amazing kite-flying members of the Hoosier Kite Flyers Society.

Please accept our apologies for a few last-minute cancellations from the roster including tee-ball, garden tractor pulls, Glass Capital Proptwisters, “Onset,” and a portion of the kid’s games.

This year turned out to be a small challenge for parking and the grounds were more congested due to the Vintage Motorbike Show starting just a couple days after the Fourth, but for those of you that did attend, we hope you enjoyed yourselves.

Your attendance makes our year-long efforts well worth it.
