Grile beaten in Fort (11/09/05)
FORT RECOVERY — Longtime council person Diana Grile lost her bid for re-election Tuesday in the council race that saw five residents in contention for the four seats.
Re-elected to another four-year term were incumbents Dave Garman, Rod Thobe, and Dave Bretz. Unseating Grile was Scott Pearson.
It was the first time residents in Fort Recovery used the new computerized voting system and all went smoothly, said Janet McCain, who worked at the voting site located at Fort Recovery Town Hall.
Voting totals were: Dave Garman, 287; Dave Bretz, 265; Rod Thobe, 264; Scott Pearson, 277; and Diana Grile, 190.
