We appreciate the participation of Dr. Long and the Jay School Corporation, as well as the assistance of the elementary school principals and the third or fourth grade teachers. The Jay County Public Library provides a wonderful public space for the contest "people's choice" voting, so our thanks are extended to the library as well.

The history portion of our exhibit was made possible with the assistance of the Jay County Historical Society board members and office volunteers. We encourage you to visit the Jay County Historical Museum to learn more about General Shanks and Judge Haynes.

We also would like to acknowledge all of the Jay County residents who have invested time and care and finances in trying to preserve their historic residential and commercial architecture.

Our young people notice when we do things to preserve the built environment for their future use. Keep up the good work.

The board of Headwaters Heritage Inc.: Sandy Bubp, president; Anita Young, treasurer; Heather Duff, contest chairperson[[In-content Ad]]
