Group plans effort on 4th (06/30/07)

To the Editor:

This is an invitation for all of the people of Jay County who have a soldier in the family to come show your support on the Fourth of July!

It does not matter if they are overseas or stateside or whether you agree or disagree with the war. They still need our support. We have stood behind them all of their life. We have been at ball games, programs, band contest, etc. We have helped with 4-H projects, science fair, and homework and been there through the ups and downs.

We need to continue to show them our support.

We will be having a "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" float in the parade. Everyone is welcome to participate - parents, brothers, sisters, wives, husbands, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends. Please come and ride or walk with us to show your pride and support!

We will also be set up at the fairgrounds close to the Museum of the Soldier display. Please stop by and sign the banners that we will send to Iraq. We will also have information about our local support group and other things of interest on display.

We would also like you to bring out a picture of your soldier that can be put on display for the day. It would be great if we could get a picture of each and every soldier that is from Jay County!
