Have fun and help friends

Editorial

It’s that time of year.
Young ladies in fancy dresses, and young men in tuxes take center stage this weekend. High school prom season is upon us.
And again this year, The Commercial Review is teaming up with Jay County High School for Promen-Aid.
Those who will be stopping by the high school Saturday to see the students in their finery are urged to bring items for the Helping Hand Food Bank.

Canned food, peanut butter, boxed cereal and similar items will be welcomed. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
Newsroom staff members from The CR will be collecting the items and will deliver them next week to the food bank. Watch for the company’s white van parked near the entrance to the prom and drop your donations off before you head inside for the promenade.
Your continued generosity as a community is appreciated, and Promen-Aid provides an opportunity to demonstrate an important lesson to our young people.
Thanks in advance from all of us. —J.R.
