Healing Field offers reflection
Editorial
If you haven’t gone, go.
The Midwest Healing Field will only be at Bearcreek Farms for a few more days, and it’s well worth the trip.
There’s no charge. There’s no contentious political agenda.
Everyone who sees the thousands of flags filling a Jay County field brings his or her own point of view to the event.
But it’s impossible not to be stirred by the sight.
Going into a weekend when there will be hundreds of hours of television programming related to the tenth anniversary of the attacks of 9/11, when thousands of words will be spilled by scores of pundits, when politicians of every stripe will be pontificating, the Healing Field provides a rare opportunity for silent reflection, meditation, or prayer.
If you haven’t gone, go.
It’s the best way imaginable to mark this significant milestone in American history. — J.R.[[In-content Ad]]
