Holiday schedules announced (12/20/04)

A variety of government buildings, agencies and services have announced holiday hours and schedules.

•The Jay County Courthouse and all county offices will be closed Friday for Christmas Eve, and will also be closed on Monday, Dec. 27. The courthouse will re-open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 28. The courthouse will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 3 to observe the New Year’s holiday.

•Geneva Town Hall will be closed Friday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 27 for Christmas. The office also will be closed on Monday, Jan. 3.

•Fort Recovery Village Hall will be closed Friday, Dec. 24 for Christmas. The village hall will close at noon on New Year’s Eve, Friday, Dec. 31.

•All city offices in Portland will be closed Friday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 27 for Christmas. The offices also will be closed on Monday, Jan. 3 in observance of New Year’s.

Trash normally collected on Friday will be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 23. Trash collected on Monday, will be picked up on Tuesday, Dec. 28 and Tuesday, Jan. 4.

•Arts Place will close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday for a staff Christmas party and will re-open on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 10 a.m. The facility will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24 and will re-open at 10 a.m. on Monday Jan. 3.
