Honesty will be your guide
Letters to the editor
To the editor:
I want to share a story concerning my brother, who lives in Oklahoma City, Okla. My brother's wife, Carolyn, worked in a department store there. Unfortunately, the building roof fell in and several employees got hurt. The employees hired lawyers to represent them. Store employees never understood why no action was taken.
Attorneys met with them and told them they did not think they had much of a chance. Employees learned later their company paid the lawyers. Unfortunately, my brother's wife is now in a wheelchair forever.
My dad told me when I was a small child, "son, honesty will always be your guide." I have always remembered this. Now that I have become older, I have learned what he told me is so true, and that is what is happening today. For example, if you are being dishonest, you will always pay the price. It may take years, but the time will come.
Thank you for reading my letter to the editor.
Sincerely yours, my friends,

Good job
To the editor:
About two months ago I was driving east on West Seventh Street, and at the Salamonia River bridge there was a van parked. I noticed two young men in the river, so I stopped to see what they were doing.
They were rescuing a young deer out of the mud. These young men's names were Andy and Laramie VanSkyock. So if you readers see these guys, tell them, "hey, good job."

Proud vet
To the editor:
This will not get in the paper before Veterans' Day.
I am a proud vet. I served for four years in the U.S. Navy. I was proud to wear the uniform. In my living room I have a large picture of my boot camp company and a picture of me when I graduated from class A pipefitter's school.
I joined out of high school. I learned how to take care of myself and learned respect for my seniors and supervisors.
Our military needs to be more protective of our country and don't worry about the ones who can care less about us.
I heard today that our government might be having a hard time connecting the dots. Probably. During the bombing of Pearl Harbor I have been told that some of the sailors did not know what the blips were on the radar monitors.
We need to protect the shores of the U.S.A. The people that are killing our soliders are a very poor class of people that has no homes or jobs. They blow themselves up, killing a better class of people - probably most of them are Christians or some other religion. Why doesn't our government go after the countries that furnish these war weapons?
We need help or this earth may end soon.
God love you all.
