Indian athletes awarded (05/01/07)
Fort Recovery High School presented awards to several athletes Monday at the school's academic banquet.
Seniors Holly Stein, Tony Diller and Lauren Wenning were all recipients of the Ohio High School Athletic Association Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award. The honor is presented to athletes who are "outstanding in their efforts to promote sportsmanship and display ethics and integrity as a student athlete in their school and community."
Fellow seniors Vicki Roessner and Aaron Kahlig were honored as OHSAA scholar athletes. In order to win the award an athlete must have earned at least four varsity letters and hold the highest grade point average at the end of the first semester of their senior year.[[In-content Ad]]
