Indians score two victories at home (03/30/07)

FORT RECOVERY - A couple of wins Thursday from Aaron Vagedes helped give Fort Recovery the double victory.
Vagedes' pair of victories pushed the Indian junior high boys track team to a win with 67.5 points as it hosted Parkway (59), Franklin Monroe (56.5) and New Knoxville (27).
The girls team got double wins from Kylie Kahlig and Holly Brunswick to dominate with 105.5 points. Franklin Monroe (54.5) was a distant second.
Vagedes finished ahead of teammate Alan Vogel in the 400-meter dash to win in 1-minute, 4 seconds. He also took first place in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 8 inches.
Other winners for the boys were Dustin Homan and Shane Brunswick, who tied for first in the high jump at 4 feet, 8 inches, and Colt Metzger with a pole vault of 6 feet.
Kahlig led a one-two finish ahead of Barbie Link in the shot put at 27 feet, 7 inches, and won the 400 dash in 1:07.10 with Abby Huelskamp second. Brunswick also powered a one-two effort for the Tribe in the high jump at 4 feet, 4 inches with Beca Tobe in second place, and won the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.1.
Huelskamp finished the 800 run with a winning time of 2:58.6 as Fort Recovery claimed four of the top five positions in the race. Alexis Sutter was first in the 1,600 run at 6:46.9 with Nicole Heitkamp as the runner-up.
Holly Brunswick, Marissa Brunswick, Nichole Kaiser and Mariah Koester teamed to win the 4x100 relay in 59.4.[[In-content Ad]]
