Inmate deserves no compassion

Letters to the Editor

To the editor:

When I read Merri Walker's letter to the editor on Tuesday, I became angry.

I just don't understand why she would ask for compassion about the way she is being treated. I look at the things she has done. Making Meth? Come on get real. She put her kids in danger, but it was not only her minor children she put in danger - she also put my minor child in danger.

Now she wants people to show her compassion. I mean they were making stuff that is killing our kids. How could anyone even begin to show it for her? I for one will never feel sorry or show compassion for her or her husband. They are right where they need to be. I trusted them to keep my child safe. I do thank God that he is all right. I am thankful everyday that I can hug him and tell him how much I love him, but still the "what ifs" go through my mind.

I do feel sorry and show compassion for those minor children that are in the middle of that whole mess. How will the children be labeled in school? I wonder if the parents have thought about that, because I didn't see anything in that article about the children.

I mean seriously, what kind of parents put their kids in that kind of danger and puts them in the middle of a mess like that? I am so scared to let my kids go to a friend's house now. Who do I trust? I know I will be more careful as to where they go and who they are with.

As a mother I blame myself for letting my son go to his friend's house, but I had no clue what was going on behind closed doors.

As for Merri Walker and her husband, I show no compassion and I do hope for their children's sake they will no longer be able to put them in danger again, and the courts see the children justice.

Thanks For Reading,

Deborah Wycuff
