IU East releases dean's list (5/27/05)

Indiana University East in Richmond announces its dean’s list for the spring semester.
From Portland is Derek Kunkle, Erin McLaughlin and Christy Robbins. From Redkey is Blake Watson. From Ridgeville is Laura Clevenger and Susan Edwards.
Students making the chancellor’s list at Indiana University East are Stacy White, Portland, and Patricia Jarrett, Ridgeville.
Students named to the dean’s list must have a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.99 and students making the chancellor’s list must have a 4.0.
Reading program
The Fort Recovery Public Library summer reading program will begin on Monday, June 6, and run through July 14.
Games, crafts, a magic show and guessing games are some of the activities planned during the program.

From Dunkirk is Nicole Byron, Corinne Erwin, Lisa Vanskyock, Lonnie Ward, Ryan Wenger and Nicole Whitesell. From Pennville is Shauna Brown, Brooke Grider and Joseph Vinson.
From Portland is Abby Arnold, Erin Arnold, Cortney Brinkley, Jaime Comstock, Ashley DeWitt, Cassandra Enyart, Melanie Martin, Brandon May, Beth Muhlenkamp, William Saxman, Hannah Spahr, Darrell Upp and Shanna Young. From Redkey is Jamie Dragoo and Kristin Janak. From Ridgeville is Jessie Goodhew, Samantha Sheller and Brittany Ullom.
Piano students
The National Fraternity of Piano Student’s Guild recently held performances at Asbury United Methodist Church in Portland. This is the 26th year for the event. Mrs. Louetta Beard from Anderson judged and graded each students performance.
Beard studied at Colorado Northern University, Anderson University, Columbia University and Ball State University. She taught at the university level for 16 years and for 20 years in public years.
Students of Wanda Hall in Portland who participated were Kyle Prifogle, HaNaMa, Summer Rouch, Amanda Alberson, Molly Sanchez, Lauren Haggenjos, Rebecca Prifogle, Austin Duncan, Kassi Hemmelgarn, Liza Haggenjos, Catelynn Fairchild, Mary Hudson, Scott Duncan and Stephanie Rodriguez.
Students of Kristen Evans of Fort Recovery who participated were Katie Albers, Hannah Kaup, Jacob Homan, Beth Homan, John Homan, Katie Homan, Kara Faller, Chelsey Timmersan, Kirstin Jutte and Bennett Klosterman.
