Frank and Barbara Howe, Berne, former residents of Portland, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Laura B., to Ron Jacobson. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Ronald and Toni Jacobson, North Ridgeville, Ohio.
Miss Howe is a 1998 graduate of Jay County High School and earned an associate degree in business from Indiana Business College. She is employed at the May Company in Elyria, Ohio.
Her fiancé earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Tri State University and is employed by RJM Wireless Engineering Consultants.
The couple is planning an April 24, 2004, wedding.
