JCHS grad makes a Schweit debut

Collegiate Check-up

Scott Schwieterman missed his team’s first three games of the season. So he was more than ready to make an impact when he finally got his chance to play.
Schwieterman, a 2013 Jay County High School graduate, opened his collegiate career Saturday by leading the Anderson University men’s basketball team in scoring and rebounding in its 91-68 loss to Division I Evansville.
The freshman, who injured his hip flexor three weeks ago and didn’t participate in a full practice until Friday, lit up the Aces in 22 minutes off the bench. He shot 8-of-13 from the field, and hit a pair of 3-pointers to finish with 18 points.
Schwieterman also paced the Ravens (0-4) with seven rebounds, and added one block and one assist.
