JCHS teacher resigns
Alleged sexual contact with student was reported
A second-year graphic arts teacher at Jay County High School has resigned amid allegations of possible sexual contact with a student.
Superintendent Tim Long said this morning that Lucas Tetrault has resigned his position.
JCHS officials contacted the Jay County Sheriff’s office shortly after noon Wednesday about the alleged inappropriate behavior, initiating an investigation by Deputy Todd Penrod.
“The matter was referred to the appropriate state and local agencies and law enforcement officials,” Long said in a prepared statement. “The matter is currently under investigation. Our school corporation policy was followed, and the individual has resigned from the corporation.”
