Johnson places 2nd for Indiana Wesleyan

Amanda Johnson's first race of the season was a good one.
The 2008 Jay County High School graduate finished as the runner-up in her first race of the 2010 indoor track season as her team hosted the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational.
Johnson was second to teammate Cassidy Wagner in the 1,000-meter run, finishing with a time of 3 minutes, 13.82 seconds. She set the meet record in the event at 3:13.4 last season.
The sophomore also teamed with Kailee Whitaker, Brook McGaughey and Wagner to post a winning time of 9:41.97 in the 4x800 relay. They were nearly 30 seconds ahead of the runner-up team from Bethel.
Cori Vormohr
Jay County - 2010
Scored a third-place finish for the Ball State University women's swim team Saturday in a 156-144 loss to Ohio.
Vormohr finished the 100-yard breaststroke in 1 minute, 9.76 seconds to place third in the event. She also joined Emily Richards, Alanna Bader and Joan Cullen for third place in the 200 medley relay in 1:52.07.
Tyler Rigby
Jay County - 2006
Cleared the 20-point mark for the 11th straight game Monday to lead the Indiana University - East men's basketball team to a 91-87 win over Berea.
Rigby, who is the school's all-time leading scorer, finished 8-of-14 from the field and 4-of-5 from 3-point range for 26 points. He was also 5-of-6 from the foul line for the Red Wolves (12-9), and added eight rebounds, four assists and a steal.
At 19 points per game, the junior is 27th in scoring in NAIA Division II.
Joanna Snyder
Fort Recovery - 2010
Helped the Ohio Northern University women's basketball team to a 75-48 slaughter of Heidelberg Saturday.
Snyder came off the bench and hit her only 3-point try on the way to a seven-point effort for the Polar Bears (12-7). She also had four rebounds and an assist.

Turned in a ninth-place finish Saturday for the Indiana Tech men's track team at Indiana University's Indiana Relays.
Reynard's top-10 effort came in the 200-meter dash as he posted a time of 23.52 seconds for ninth place in a field of 27 runners. He also teamed with Dan Haught, David Army and Russell Dill to take ninth in the 4x400 relay in 3:19.24.[[In-content Ad]]
