Collegiate Check-up

A former Patriot put together a good showing at the National Christian College Championships.

The Taylor University sophomore crossed the finish line sixth in the 1,500 run. She posted a time of 4-minutes, 55.87 seconds.

Johnson was also part of a pair of Trojan relay teams, joining seniors Vanessa Fereshetian, Becky Hegelein and Kelsey Randall for seventh in the 4x400 with a time of 4:20.32. She teamed with Hegelein, Alyssa Hartman and Winchester graduate Tabitha Bogue to finish the 4x800 in 10:27.07 for ninth place.

Her effort at the NCCC meet came a week after winning the Mid-Central Conference title in the 1,500 run.
