Jones first candidate in Salamonia (04/10/07)
Perry Eugene Jones, 5968 East 400 South, Salamonia, has become the first candidate to file to run for a seat on the Salamonia Town Board.
The three seats, currently held by Donna Shreeve, Gloria Pfeifer, and Chuck Wendel, are each up for election in November.
None of the three incumbents have filed to run for re-election.
Candidates in Salamonia, Bryant, and Pennville run on minor party tickets and have until July 15 to file their intentions in the office of Jay County Clerk Jane Ann Runyon.
Also, Leslie L. Dues, 4046 East 300 South, Portland, a Democrat, has been appointed as Noble Township Trustee by Democrat county chairman, Tim Southworth.
She replaces Amanda A. Phillips who resigned from the position recently.
