Kahlig finishes 4th in scoring

Greg Kahlig spent his high school career writing his name in the Fort Recovery record book. Nothing changed when he got to college.
Kahlig, a 2010 FRHS graduate, finished his career fourth on the University of Findlay men’s basketball team’s all-time scoring list. His 21st-ranked Oilers ended their season Saturday with an 88-83 loss to No. 25 Lake Superior State in the opening round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament in Springfield, Mo.
The senior scored 22 points in his final college game while shooting 10-of-12 from the free-throw line. He also had four rebounds and two assists as Findlay finished at 24-6.
Kahlig finished his career with 1,877 points and ranked fourth in the country in scoring this season at 24.5 points per game. He was named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year, and earned first-team all-region honors from both Daktronics and the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Closed her career as one of the top 10 scorers in Huntington University history as the 19th-ranked women’s basketball team fell 92-68 Saturday to No. 4 Northwestern College (Iowa) in the second round of the NAIA Division II Tournament.
Speed led the Foresters (24-9) with six assists. She also had 11 points and three rebounds.
She finished with 1,469 career points, putting her 10th on the school’s all-time scoring list. She averaged 16.9 points this season while shooting 82 percent from the free-throw line.[[In-content Ad]]
