The University of Findlay men’s basketball team picked up its third straight win with a former Indian leading the way.
Greg Kahlig, a 2010 Fort Recovery High School graduate, powered the NCAA Division II No. 18 Oilers with 25 points Saturday in an 85-67 win over Ohio Dominican.
Kahlig shot 11-of-18 (61 percent) from the field on the way to his game-high total. He grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double, and also had three assists, two blocks and a steal.
The sophomore totaled 16 points and eight boards Dec. 15 in an 84-65 win over Tiffin.
Kahlig leads Findlay (9-2) with 13.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and one block per game.
He is also shooting 81 percent from the free-throw line.

Speed scored 16 points in each of the Forester women’s basketball team’s games, road wins over Indiana South Bend and Rio Grande. She totaled seven assists in the two wins.
The sophomore also scored nine points Friday in Huntington’s 70-67 victory over Judson. She added three rebounds and two assists as the team improved to 7-4.


Brandon Reynard
Jay County – 2009
Joined three Indiana Tech men’s track teammates for a relay victory Friday at the Grand Valley State University Holiday Open.
Reynard teamed with D’Quan Ruth, Jordan Foster and Austen Barnes to win the 4x400-meter relay in 3 minutes, 16.53 seconds. He was also sixth in the 400 dash with a time of 49.93.

Joanna Snyder
Ft. Recovery – 2009
Was one of four players to score in double figures for the Ohio North University women’s basketball team Wednesday in an 83-64 loss to Capital.
Snyder did most of her damage at the foul line, where she finished 7-for-7. She shared the team-high of 11 points with Cenzie Yoder and also had three rebounds and two assists.
The junior totaled eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block for the Polar Bears (9-2) in Saturday’s 80-36 destruction of Marietta.

Nick Teeter
South Adams – 2010
Scored three points for the Huntington University men’s basketball team Monday in the Foresters’ 81-68 loss to Cornerstone.
Teeter hit a 3-pointer for his only points of the game. He also had two assists and one rebound.[[In-content Ad]]
