Kahlig scores 10 in tourney

A Fort Recovery High School graduate helped lead a tournament victory.
Greg Kahlig, FRHS class of 2010, was one of four players to score in double figures Saturday in the University of Findlay’s 50-49 victory over 11th-ranked Northern Kentucky in the NCAA Division II men’s basketball tournament.
Kahlig scored 10 points as the Oilers picked up their 24th win of the season. He also had three rebounds and one steal.
The sophomore finished with six points, five assists and three rebounds as Findlay dropped out of the tournament Sunday with an 86-63 loss to No. 4 Bellarmine.
Kahlig was second on the team this year with 12.6 points per game, while also averaging 4.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 0.9 steals. He shot 83 percent from the foul line and 41 percent from 3-point range.
He was 10th in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in field goal percentage at .540.

Picked up two hits in the Baylor University baseball team’s 7-3 victory over Memphis in the second game of a doubleheader Sunday.
Ludy got off to a quick start with an infield single for the Bears (11-7) in the first inning.
He added a single to center field in the sixth inning and scored on a hit by Joey Hainsfurther.
He also had a hit in Baylor’s 2-1 win in the first game against Memphis.
The senior added a hit and an RBI Tuesday in a 5-4 loss to UT-Arlington.

Scored nine points for the Huntington University women’s basketball team in its opening game of the NAIA Tournament.
Speed hit a 3-pointer and finished third in scoring for the Foresters, who fell 69-60 to No. 6 Concordia (Mich.). She also grabbed seven rebounds, shared the team high of three assists and came up with one steal for the Foresters (20-11).[[In-content Ad]]
