Kindergarten registration set

Registration for kindergarten in Jay Schools is scheduled for next week.
Sessions will begin Tuesday at General Shanks and Redkey elementary schools. Registration at Pennville, Westlawn and Bloomfield is scheduled for Wednesday, and East and Judge Haynes will follow on Thursday.
Each school will be open for registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the assigned day, and the sessions will last for approximately two hours.
Registration is for kindergarten students who will be enrolling for the 2014-15 school year. In order to be eligible, children must be at least 5 years old before Aug. 1.
Parents and students should attend the registration session at the school in the district in which they live. A birth certificate and immunization record are required.
