Kudos for effort on haunted woods
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
I would like to congratulate the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department on a tremendous “haunted woods.” My husband and I took our youngest granddaughter and a friend to the spooky experience this past weekend. We had a wonderful scary time. We have visited other haunted woods and forests in the past, and the Dunkirk woods are right up there with the best.
Kudos to all of the volunteer firemen and the host of other volunteers who help make the trip through the haunted woods a Halloween event to remember.

Explanation
To the editor:
Mourdock said something like, “It was God’s will a woman became pregnant.” Of course it wasn’t God’s will someone got raped. But now what is the solution to something that has already happened? Should the baby be killed or the rapist?
Have you seen an unborn baby defend itself in court? That is what parents are for. This makes it easy for the state to say abortion is O.K. We must remember, conception is God’s work.

Bryant thanks
To the editor:
Thank you to all the families who participated by having a garage sale during Bryant’s townwide sale in September.
From the feedback I received it was a success, although the weather wasn’t the best.
Hope that 2013 will be bigger yet.
Also, thanks to the people who help to make this work.
