LeMaster to serve on commission (05/01/08)
Portland Planning Commission
A former police officer has been chosen to fill a vacant seat on the Portland Planning Commission.
Garth "Mike" L. LeMaster Jr., Portland, has been appointed by Portland Mayor Bruce Hosier to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Bob Loucks. LeMaster is a retired police officer and former chief of Portland police. He also is the former executive director of Jay County Community Corrections and is an U.S. Air Force retiree.
Loucks, who was a member of the planning commission for more than three years, passed away April 22 after a long illness.
