Leonhard in race for county council (02/07/06)
A former Jay County Commissioner now wants a seat on the Jay County Council.
Michael L. Leonhard, who lost his seat on the commissioners to Faron Parr during the last election, filed Monday afternoon in the Jay County Clerkâs office to seek the Republican nomination for council district 2 seat in the May primary election.
That seat is currently held by Jack Houck, who chose not to seek reelection as a councilman but is looking to unseat commissioner middle district, Milo Miller Jr. in the primary election.
A resident of 876 East 300 North, Leonhard is looking for the seat that represents Knox, Penn, Greene, Jackson, Bearcreek and Wabash townships.[[In-content Ad]]
