Ludy singles, scores for Bears

Josh Ludy made his first start of the year Friday.
The 2008 Jay County High School graduate started at catcher recorded his first hit and run of his sophomore season, but the Baylor University baseball team fell short 7-5 to 22nd-ranked Georgia.
Ludy got the Bears rolling in the sixth inning with a one-out infield single. He moved to second on a single to left field by Chris Slater, and advanced to third by way of a walk. He scored on a Joey Hainsfurther single to center as Baylor scored twice in the inning to tie the score at 4-4.
For the game, Ludy finished 1-for-4 with a strikeout. He also walked to open the second inning.
Tyler Rigby
Jay County - 2006
Racked up 22 points as the Indiana University-East men's basketball team won its regular-season finale 88-72 over IU-Southeast.
Rigby, the school's all-time leading scorer, buried four 3-pointers on the way to his game-high total. He also had three assists and a rebound.
The Red Wolves closed out their season Tuesday, falling 102-95 to Asbury College in the opening round of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament. Rigby finished with 12 points and five rebounds.
The juniors also had 27 points, including four 3-pointers, six rebounds and an assists Feb. 18 in a 77-73 loss to Brescia.
Brandon Reynard

Competed for the Indiana Tech men's track team as it finished fourth out of six teams Saturday at the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Indoor Championship hosted by Trine.
Reynard placed 11th in the 60-meter dash in 7.27 seconds, and was also 12th in the 200 dash with a time of 23.34. He teamed with Russell Dill, David Army and Lucien Harris for a runner-up time of 3 minutes, 22.55 in the 4x400 relay.
Joanna Snyder
Fort Recovery - 2009
Made her seventh start of the year Tuesday and scored in double figures as the Ohio Northern University women's basketball team topped Wilmington 77-63 in the opening round of the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament.
Snyder shot 50 percent from the field and scored 10 points. She also had five rebounds, two steals and a block for the Polar Bears, who will play Capital in the tournament semifinals Friday.
The freshman also had eight points, four rebounds and a block Saturday as ONU defeated John Carroll 73-68. She finished with five points, four steals and a block Feb. 17 in a seven-point loss to Baldwin-Wallace.

Ran a pair of races Saturday for the Indiana Wesleyan women's track team at the National Christian College Athletic Association Indoor Championship.
Johnson finished 17th in her lone individual event, posting a time of 2 minutes, 29.32 seconds in the 800-meter run. She joined Cassidy Wagner, Kailee Whitaker and Angi Wolgemuth for a second-place effort in the 4x800 run with a time of 9:36.79.[[In-content Ad]]
