And then there were three.
A Portland resident who made a bid last year for a seat on the city council has filed to run for an at-large seat on the Jay County Council.
Dennis Mason Jr., 210 Pittsburg Ave., joined the race for the Republican nomination for the seat on Tuesday. He joins incumbent councilwoman Marilyn Coleman and Jerry Monroe in the Republican primary.
Voters in both the GOP and Democratic primaries will select up to three candidates to compete in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
School board elections will also be held Nov. 4.
The primary is Tuesday, May 6.
The filing period for major party candidates for the primary election wraps up Friday, Feb. 22 at noon.
