FORT RECOVERY - Village council members will meet again Wednesday to answer questions from residents of George Street and Hickory Circle on the upcoming water line replacement project.
Village administrator Randy Diller said during Monday's meeting that he delivered letters inviting residents of George Street, between Gwendolyn and Washington streets and Hickory Circle to the special council meeting.
The forum style meeting will be held at the village hall from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. At the meeting, residents are encouraged to express concerns and ask questions they have about the planned three month project, which is tentatively set to start late this summer. Diller will also provide the residents with another letter at the meeting that contains a preliminary timeline and describes the project.
Besides replacing the water line and making adjustments to the storm drains, new street lights and curbs will be added the areas effected by the project.
Also Monday, Diller reported that a $13,000 video camera system for inside the wastewater pipes arrived. "It has come in handy a few times," Diller said.
In other business Monday, council members:
•Heard Diller report that the village has already received 10 applications for the utility operator job opening. Applications are due by Friday.
•Were reminded that the Fort Recovery Chamber of Commerce Banquet is Sunday at the Mary Help of Christians Church. Tickets for the event are still available. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:45 p.m. and the awards presentation at 7:30 p.m.
•Learned that parks work day is Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon.[[In-content Ad]]
