MARIA STEIN, Ohio - The Fort Recovery High School baseball team slipped back to .500 Tuesday with a 6-3 loss to the host Marion Local Flyers.
The Indians (7-7-1) went scoreless for the first six innings while Marion Local posted three runs each in the third and fifth.
A.J. Backs started and took the loss, allowing three runs in 2 2/3 innings. He gave up five hits while striking out two.
Ryan Schoen finished with a single and an RBI, and Brady Kahlig singled and scored a run. Frank Thien had the lone extra-base hit with a double, and Cody Fiely and Nate Keller each had an RBI.
Junior varsity
The Indians managed just one hit in a 15-0, six-inning loss to Marion Local.
Hayden Pottkotter tallied the only hit for Fort Recovery. Jared Kahlig took the loss.[[In-content Ad]]
