Moore leads SA graduates

HUNTINGTON — Four former Starfires were on the track together at Huntington University.
Hannah Moore of the host Foresters was the best of the bunch.
Moore turned in a top-10 finish for the Huntington University women’s track team as it played host April 26 and 27 to the Crossroads League Track Championships.
Moore, a 2012 South Adams High School graduate, narrowly missed breaking the 19-minute mark in the 5,000-meter run. She finished seventh in 19 minutes, 3.06 seconds, for the Foresters, who were seventh in the nine-team field.
Tim Lehman, Moore’s former classmate, posted a time of 52.94 for the Goshen College men’s team in the 400 dash. He finished in 12th place for the Maple Leafs, who were sixth in the team standings.
Allison Beitler, SAHS class of 2010, competed for the eighth-place Goshen in the women’s 5,000 meter run. She finished 16th in 20:33.94.
Sam Heckard posted a 22nd-place finish for the fifth-place Bethel College men’s team in the 1,500 run. The 2010 SAHS graduate turned in a time of 5:00.46.[[In-content Ad]]
