No Trading Post this year
One longtime feature of the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association show will be missing this year.
“There is no Trading Post this year,” said Tri-State president Jack Rouch last week.
The Trading Post, located in the 4-H horse barn, originally was a place where engine and tractor enthusiasts could look for old parts that they could use in restoration projects. But over the years, more and more items were brought in that weren’t engine or tractor related.
And staffing the Trading Post with volunteers became a problem. No one wanted to miss out on the rest of the show by spending all day in the horse barn.
“Nobody really wants to take it over,” said Rouch.
“There is no Trading Post, but there will be a consignment auction. We’ve always had an auction.”
Those interested in selling engine or tractor related parts or items should bring them to the consignment sale on Friday.
“You don’t have to be a member or anything,” said Rouch.[[In-content Ad]]
