Page 1 photo was insensitive
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
On the front page of Monday’s edition of The Commercial Review was a picture of a young lady with the Patriot girls soccer team. They had just lost to Yorktown.
This is not about the picture, but about the person that took the picture and the party responsible for putting it on the front page. In my opinion, these are two insensitive people. It seems as you never played any sports. If so, you should know the high feeling with a win and the low feeling for a loss.
I think it’s sad for a paper to sink this low. I believe you owe this young lady an apology on the front page.

More needed
To the editor:
I hope we get more industry in the community. We sure will need it for what our taxes will be in the future.
They’re going to build a barn at the new jail for the cars. We didn’t need this before. We don’t keep them long enough for them to rust in the rain.
Millions of dollars for sewer systems not done yet. They forgot Chicago Avenue and I’m sure there are more.
The city needs to follow through with the plan to beautify downtown. Some has been done and others (are) about to fall down and hurt someone — like the Eagles Lodge. At one time it was a beautiful building. We need this to attract new business. The businesses we need is for about 500 employees with good pay so families can rent or buy homes.
The minimum wage should be for our school kids to save for college. God bless our town and the people in it.
