Pence will visit Jay Co.
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence will make a whirlwind visit to Jay Schools on Friday in recognition of the school corporation’s continuing high performance.
Pence is scheduled to arrive at Jay County High School at 1:30 p.m., but he’ll only be on the school grounds for an estimated 45 minutes.
During that time, the governor will visit the pre-school program, tour classrooms for robotics, agriculture and art, then attend a brief reception with administrators and members of Jay School Board.
While the latest A-F ratings for Hoosier school corporation’s haven’t yet been released by the Indiana Department of Education, there’s a chance that report card could be finalized next week.
Jay Schools has been an A-rated system the past two years and is recognized as one of the top-performing districts in east central Indiana.[[In-content Ad]]
